So far, my "12 Days of Christmas" posts have been about the success of my clients. Today, I'm going to share one of my personal successes from the past year.
People often wonder how you get your album to be “Mastered for iTunes” or “MFiT.” The process requires a preliminary understanding of mastering best practices, as well as a knowledge of how your songs will sound once digitally encoded. The best way to demystify the process if by checking out Apple's ten-page PDF.
If you're an artist or band, to make sure your songs sound the best they can, be sure to work with someone who is approved as an engineer by Apple in order to create MFiT albums. After a year of hard work, I was approved based on my previous work, understanding of how the process works, and knowledge of Apple’s standards. It’s an honor to be on this list next to many of the major mastering houses in the world.
